West Chester, Pennsylvania -- The RallyRight organizing committee has agreed to hold the Sawmill ClubRally on May 11, 2002. The event, sanctioned by the Blue Mountain Region of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA), will be a Coefficient 2 ClubRally counting toward the Northeast Division (NEDiv) Championship. The event will once again be headquartered in Morris, PA. Entries will be accepted beginning April 1, 2002. Details will be posted on the RallyRight website as arrangements are finalized.
Also determined at the meeting was the status of the 2002 RallyRight School. Regrettably, it was decided not to hold the school in May 2002. The January fire that destroyed the motel and restaurant facilities at the Ski Sawmill Resort has made the normal RallyRight schedule impossible. The organizers are investigating the possibility of holding an "intermediate/advanced" level driving school on May 10, 2002 for a small group of currently licensed drivers if there is enough interest. Details will be posted when available on the RallyRight website.
